A poster on their forums provided the list and so these descriptions and point values should be taken with a grain of salt. Whatever the case may be, the achievements are spread rather wide and cover everything from mini-games and story progress to more arcade-esque survival challenges. As the release date of April 29th approaches, the hype for this thing just continues to grow and grow, and from a glance at the achievements it looks like this could actually live up it's hype.

Everyone's expecting big things from GTA IV, including investors. Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter believes there is "overconfidence" in GTA IV and Take-Two, however.

Since not everyone has the time to focus all of their attention on getting GTA4's Achievements, we here at GameSpy decided that a thorough Achievement guide was in order. Keep in mind that there may be better ways to get some of these Achievements, and that I'm always open to better (i.e. easier) ways to go about unlocking them.

Microsoft has a lot to gain from Grand Theft Auto IV on the Xbox 360, but there's one possible little problem. While Sony's PlayStation Network is free, the Xbox Live Gold service that allows online multiplayer is $50 per year. By and large 360 owners don't seem to mind the 4-per-month charge, but it could be daunting for newcomers. Maybe that's what influenced the decision to include a free month-long trial of Xbox Live Gold in every copy of the game for the Xbox 360.

Major UK high street retailer WHSmiths has priced the PlayStation 3 version of GTA IV at £44.99, while the 360 version will cost £5 less at £39.99. The pricing has been confirmed as part of the chain’s pre-order campaign.

"Sam Houser hints 360 download content might take the form of random missions, thought it's all dependent on the reaction of fans. "In the game, you might be walking around & then someone will come up to you & say something like, 'Hey, I need your help', & you'll be like, 'What? This isn't a story mission', & he'll be like, 'You see that room up there? That's my wife & she's f***ing some bloke, & I need you to go and do...' & this little story will unfold from there just randomly."

This new episode, "Lost and Damned", is available Feb. 17 exclusively for the Xbox 360 version (no price yet). It stars Johnny Klebitz, a member of Liberty City biker gang The Lost. Houser "the story will show you a different side of Liberty City."
