Add me to it, i mentioned my support when it cropped up a while ago and i think that it could really help ease of use. I suggest another tab for general posts made individually on stock listings that arent tied to an article though so that they arent lost.
@deftangel, I suggested having previews, reviews, and news separate a year or 2 ago. Needless to say, nobody wanted that to happen. So hopefully there is support from users this time.
@deftangel, Yeah, news would get the most focus, but then again news tends to be the most important when it comes to forecasting sales. Reviews and previews still have an effect, but just not as much as most news articles. It would be easier to see the reviews for Metacritic forecasting also.
Agreed, having a tabbed "news" page perhaps with 3 tabs, previews, reviews and news as you suggest would at cut down the clutter. I guess previews and reviews might garner less bids as a result (assuming news was the default "tab"). Not that I find that a problem personally.
Maybe if not a limit, then a better organization of at least the articles - like having tabs and having previews on one, reviews on another, and other information on another.
I agree though I also find that down-bidding being "frowned upon" is part of the problem. If I see an article that I find contributes nothing in terms of determining an accurate prediction I will just leave it, but actually, I would like to downbid it because I find the information not to be useful.
The problem though that this is frowned upon, "Hey, why you downbid me?! :(" and largely ineffective as it's very easy for users, myself included to simply upbid the front page's worth of articles to pick up residual DKP when in a hurry. Downbidding in this case not only has no effect, it also costs you!
Not an easy problem to address but perhaps a limit would help the signal to noise ratio.
@lstormy10, 5 - 10 article/pics/video per day limit for each player sound reasonable. When certain "more news period" arrived, like E3, TGS etc, we can increase the limit to say 10 - 15 / person.
I am also OK with no limit, since I wouldn't upbid those "minor importance article/picture/article".
@lstormy10, I agree. I also dislike when a person puts up a rare screen, video, or article, but it barely gets seen by anyone because another person decides to post 20 screens all at once, etc.
