@Mushashi, So you are playing small size, but in lots of stocks. I tried that, but it didn't work out for me, since I couldn't multi-task (tracking lots of stocks) well, and therefore suffered un-realized loss (get in too late).
@wrangler_smoked, "Futures market = GAMBLING" Futures market might be gambling, but it managed to help me reached rank 4 by consistently winning the gambling. Just_Ben is another player who reached high networth by consistently winning futures gambling.
Note that consistent does not mean always. I lose money here and there, but overall, the winning is significantly higher than losing. I have more profit from futures compared to GLS.
I do not have any specific GLS or future focus,I think you actually have more short GLS than me ;-) I have not invested even more than 2 million DKP in anything yet.
GLS is gambling, futures have a number to project which you are told after a few months. GLS has no actual number to compare your projection to,just estimates and guessing and popularity.
@wrangler_smoked, Advanced option is very simple. I always trade in advance option, since basic is too limited (couldn't setup buy order and sell order).
Not really, you can make a reasonably accurate prediction if you are prepared to look up all the past data, trends, forcast shipment numbers, pricing options etc. I don't exactly do this and my long on December Wii is basically a (very large - 10mil) gamble, but it can be done. If it were truly a gamble then we wouldn't see the same people winning fairly consistantly.
I used advanced for a trade or two and the system of requests, and buys gets really complicated. To the people who do use advanced option did you also find it hard to do at first?
I am currently trading in "Advanced (Requires entering both price and quantity of shares for the order.)" now! I was using basic to begin though. What is the difference in results?
@wrangler_smoked, What kind of trading setup do you use, "advanced trading" or "basic trading" ? What you stated in your post is normal for trading, especially when you are trading with market maker, so what is your issue / problem ?
I noticed when I buy $250,000 blocks the purchases are broken into different buying prices. For example if I was buying 100 shares It would sell me 33 for 10.99, and then it would sell the next batch around 12.10 and so on so forth. I notice even more with stocks with prices around $30.
@wrangler_smoked, If you are referring to time trust, which were capped at $25,000, it doesn't matter what level of trading you had. It is capped at $25K for EVERYONE.
