@vGInfidel, Thanks! That is good advice, this was back when TSE did not allow you to remove them. Hence the beating of over 200 downbids on 20 pictures. There was also a mad rush to get the submissions, it is easier now to find content and post it and take your time. Times were different then. So out of fear of someone else finding it and posting it, I submitted. They were good enough for an IGN gallery, but not TSE. there were a ton of low-res submissions from IGN galleries (Wii resolution maxes out at 480 so you aren't going to get high-res), for some reason mine got the downbid. When i asked why, i was further downbid and the only explanation was "low-res." not bitter, but wanted to explain the whole situation so you could see what was going on. Appreciate the advice, again, it is different now.
Im sure that if you applied some more quality control to your article submissions i.e checking that no one else has submitted the same one, then you wouldnt have recieved nearly 700 downbids and would be the next rank up by now. If you do start recieving downbids, realise the mistake you have made and remove it asap.
@Chacho, IMO change and turbulation is a good thing. It levels out stocks and finds their true value. For me it is more scary when I know something is over/under valued and it is not changing. There have been plenty of times where i purchased something that was over-valued and it kept going up and eventually i had to cut my losses and get out. p.s. Welcome to the top 500! 479 is a great spot.
Woo hoo! I finally made [Speaker]. I had a tremendous setback when first joining and adding a bunch of pictures. They were apparently low-res and people didn't like that. I must have gotten 200 downbids on those pictures alone, so this is quite an accomplishment for me to get 250 net upbids after that. Well, just had to share because i am really stoked about it.
Been noticing recently of how my change goes into the negative 30K, i'm basically scared by this. When I checked on it last night, it was at +10K without me buying or selling and today when I went on, it was -10K! Just recently nabbed a spot on the Top 500 list too.
thesimexchange is rising and lowering like a turbulent sea! D:
@DrMarioKart, Don't leave. I can understand someone like Seraphrowen leaving because he lost a lot in project hammer and he wasn't going to overtake the great zukaus. But you, my friend, are a level 18, Contributer. Starts to sound like an RPG. I guess what i am saying is that you need to re-invent yourself on TSE. you are doing great with NPD, so transfer that kind of work ethic. This site could use good people and i have never heard you whine or complain and you add a lot to it. It would be sad to see you leave.
