"While the Halo movie project lost the studio support of both Fox and Universal and the movie was officially postponed, the latest word from Variety is that the movie is actually still alive."
This article list 21 Easter Eggs in Halo 3 such as public indecency, love letters, coded symbols, mysterious music, creepy characters, pop culture references (Mario? Seinfeld?) and other inside jokes - some hilarious, some plain bizarre - left behind by the game's sneaky creators.
@Just_Ben,I won't make a predictiction on the STOCK of Halo3 because it's too volatile to hazard a guess on where the numbers will stand. But yes December and possibly November will be better months for Halo3 as the Holiday sales kick in. But Halo's stock is now tied directly to the 360 sales. Halo3's numbers will depend entirely on how many 360s wind up in living rooms around the globe.
Doesn't people overreact on the stock a little bit? I mean Halo 3 sold well in the U.S. and very well in Europe compared to Halo 2. It will have decent lags, I think. as Kemkle33 laid out, December there will be a lot of copies sold and the 360 has a better stand (thanks to the UK) in the EU than the original XBox. Sorry, but I say, the stock (not the october future) is undervalued.
Halo 3 sales only had a small window of opportunity to satiate the sales demands of September. With only five days to purchase the game and pre-orders accounting for a sizable percentage of that, it is easy to extrapolate that Halo 3 will be doing its sales in two windows: launch and holiday season. Traditionally holiday shopping starts, at least in the US, on the third Friday of November. Black Friday as it is so precariously named by those poor souls who must work retail.
Between the end of launch and the rush to buy during Black Friday, do we really expect 1 million units to be sold?
